Fascinating history
- more than 60 years of tradition!
- the first MPiK Club was opened in 1948 at Unia Lubelska Square in Warsaw
- in the 1970s nearly 100 MPiK Clubs (KMPiK) were operating in most big Polish cities and about 300 clubs in small towns and villages
- in 1975 in KMPiK in Poznań you could browse through 405 press titles in several languages, including only 160 in Polish
- during 30 years of its activity MPiK Club in Zielona Góra organized 1031 exhibitions and 2831 events, 675 popular science events and 1495 cultural artistic events
- in the 1950s MPiK Clubs started up Foreign Language Schools which offered a wide variety of language courses, such as Scandinavian or even... Japanese
